The Parallax is a free, post-apocalyptic messenger-style text adventure in which you have only one mission: Help David survive!
In The Parallax, you'll experience a gripping end-time story in real-time, chatting with characters, giving them advice and making decisions for them. That's how you decide the course of the story!

THE INITIAL SITUATION

Nothing is the same as before: the world is completely out of joint following a devastating plague and has since been ruled by roving zombies. Only David Blythe, the supposedly last survivor of this killer virus, has been left alone and helpless in his apartment. His last hope for help is a self-written computer program to find other survivors.

THE SURVIVAL FIGHT CAN BEGIN!

His food reserves are coming to an end, the isolation threatens to wear him down and the living dead come closer to him. But after a last desperate call for help you are suddenly at the other end of the line. From now on, you're his mobile companion everywhere and his greatest support in the action-packed survival battle with the zombies. In real-time chat, work with our hero to devise sophisticated survival strategies to make the right decisions and escape the perils of the apocalypse, find other survivors, and endure so many mimimi when David's about to lose his nerve. In the course of the story you will also learn more about David's friends, his thoughts and his life before the epidemic and build a close bond with him.

In search of vital resources such as food or mobile phone chargers, you will encounter hordes of undead and live through dangerous situations together. But beware! A wrong decision can result in David's death and will make you mercilessly fail when you try to defeat the bloodthirsty zombie army with our likeable nerd and solve the mystery of the Great Plague!

Any decision taken has a direct bearing on David's survival and the progression of the story in this Survival Text Adventure. Therefore, it is important that you as a team find a way to fight the zombies. So make every choice wisely! Only this ensures the long-term survival of our hero.

SOLVE THE MYSTERY!

The deeper you delve into the mystery of the virus and the murderous plague, the more insight you get into David's life, which since your appearance no longer just consists of instant noodles and sitting on the couch. Strange messages seem to come to you randomly, and even if David does not attach any deeper meaning to these echoes, there seems to be an unknown connection. The virus is not the only mystery in the post-apocalyptic world.
